Breeze To Bring $39 Flights to Humboldt's ACV Airport

Oh hello, warm weather getaways.

If you can convince your boss to let you go to Las Vegas on a Wednesday, you’re in luck.

Beginning March 11, Breeze Airways will replace Avelo at ACV airport with service to and from Las Vegas, Burbank, Anaheim and Salt Lake City. For one-way tickets as cheap as $39 (yep, you read that right), you can swap the coastal fog for some southern surf, a little sin, and plenty of sunlight.

While the closer destinations will have two or three flights a week, we’ll have service to Salt Lake City five days a week, leaving plenty of time for the city and nearby parks like Arches, Zion, and Salt Flats. Hey, we're nothing in Humboldt if not nature-loving hippies.

Routes and schedule rollout

  • March: Arcata to Las Vegas (Wed-Sat) for $94 round trip

  • March: Arcata to Salt Lake City(Tues/Wed/Thurs-Sat) for $127 round trip

  • March: Arcata to Burbank/Hollywood (Tues/Thurs-Sun) for $134 round trip

  • April: Arcata to Orange County/Anaheim (Wed-Sat) for $151 round trip

How it works

Sound a little too good to be true? Fear not, you’ll be flying European-style—the no-frills approach used by budget carriers across the pond.

Basically, you’ll be allowed to bring yourself plus one personal item, like a purse or a laptop bag. With the entry price, you can’t have any fancy perks like a carry-on, changing your ticket, or canceling your booking for a refund. If you want that, it’ll cost a little extra.

Rock-bottom base fare ($94)

  • Base fare from Arcata to Las Vegas: $39

  • Base fare from Las Vegas to Arcata: $55

  • Personal item (purse or laptop): $0

  • Random seats: $0

  • No changes or carry-ons: $0

  • No checked bag: $0

  • No-frills total = $94

Base fare plus cozy perks ($260)

  • Base fare from Arcata to Las Vegas: $39

  • Base fare from Las Vegas to Arcata: $55

  • Personal item (purse or laptop): $0

  • Pick your seats: $26

  • Total with perks = $260

This flexible price structure allows you to get as choosy as you want, from just-get-me-there seats in the back to the first class experience up front. Pro tip: use Breeze Airway’s flexible calendar view to spot the best deals.

Don’t worry, with return flights on Saturdays, you’ll be back in time to sleep off your hangover by Sunday.
